Why Do I Call myself a Nigga You Ask Me?

For the last two years I've undertaken a new measure to asses my level of anger. Whenever the crafted nature of our present world vexes me I reflect back to the fall of 2004. During those times my anger for Bush supporters was so great, that I had to daily restrict the strong urges to pummel their face when they appeared in my presence, nor in a fit of road rage, run those who adorned their vehicles with "Bush Cheney" stickers off the road at a angle that would somehow cause the ignition of their gas tank, or just plain strangle those who saw "no point" in voting. While I endured such times without incurring the wrath of a stroke, heart attack or felony, the distinct immense sense of agitation conjured by the thought process (or the lack thereof) utilized by millions nearly severed the wrong color wire. Being that it seems to be the new affliction inundating the black community (Beyonce, Denzel, Taye Diggs) I wasn't to incur a strong sense of "Déjà Vu" recently when a asinine correlation created and impetus that stained a legitimate debate.

The whole Kramer episode is a stale overblown remnant of recent past which I'm not going to delve into again., however the sentiment of "Black People Shouldn't call themselves Niggas anymore" becoming the major derivative of the incident is the ire raising topic of the moment. Not that such an occurrence surprised me, more so than spawned urges to find out if there is any validity to the theory of "beating sense" into people.

The rational behind a statement is always superior to the words spoken so when. So when Black People and especially White people call for the wholesale banishment of a certain word I become extremely skeptical.

To truly assess a current situation you must have a concise understanding of how such a point was reached. If you don't like a particular action, figure out why its practiced than, see if the causes can be modified to possibly create a new or differing result. Well why do Black people call themselves Niggas? Its funny that said query is rarely if ever posed in such conversations, but let us try find and answer regardless. The ability to define ones self is critical aspect of existence that requires constant struggle to acquire and maintain. Sadly Black people have never seized ownership of their definition. From the day we arrived in the 17th century we've had many labels bestowed upon us not of are own doing. With Nigger being the famous first, Octoroons Quadroons, Coloreds, Negros, Afro American , Black, and the nefarious African American (more on this later) in succession, have been markers placed upon Black folk, no more of our own creation than our surnames. The first is often the most powerful, and the word nigger is definitely a example of that. Language is extremely potent within itself; the context it is spoken in however, immensely intensifies its meaning and effects. Regardless of the vast diversity of views our populace holds, there is almost uniform agreement in the intrinsic message inferiority and disgust being conveyed when nigger is uttered. During the 246 years slavery was practiced (I can see ya eyes rolling) in America, the spewing of the word nigger was as routine as breathing among the masses. White people ranging from aristocrats, and politicians, to yeomen and solders found nigger to be the rightful if not natural name for Blacks who adorned this land during that time. That description of facts is to plain, so view things like this. Imagine for a second for you ENTIRE life you where referred to as and by NIGGER. Then conjure the fact that during said lifetime everyone who resembled you in any family or racial ilk was also known as a nigger. Nothing more, but possibly less if a negative pre fix was attached to nigger. Then existing in such a reality caused those who where you family or of the same race to refer to YOU as a nigger while you simultaneously did the same to them. The knowledge that if you hear something often enough, you will start to believe it as true, is rarely refuted. When a person takes that one life time of experience of being known as a nigger, and multiplies it by generation upon generation, its not hard to see how vast swaths of a particular group would plainly just see them selves a niggers.

Digging in the bag of clichés, one can easily say "Times have changed" since the years of slavery and Jim Crow. Due to extremely recent developments in our land, White people don't freely utter nigger as a greeting towards black people, and Black people aren't automatically subjected to the penalty of death for taking umbrage or expressing any displeasure to such a label. Despite the changes in interaction, the word nigger, even with all of the murder, rape, torture and exploitation behind it, hasn't disappeared from the black vernacular, instead it mutated and modified itself into nigga. Why? One reason is the illegitimacy of being defined by one who those outside of your group. Many Native Americans never liked the terminology of "Indians" and presently the all encompassing label of Hispanic vexes some in the extremely pluralistic Latin community. The same can be said for Black people. From Colored to the insidious African- American (I could write a whole blog about that, but suffice to say I'll respect that term when White people are known as "European Americans"), we never really held a true allegiance to such concoctions of definition. The second rationale was best construed by Malcolm X when he surmised, "You a nigger to you die. If you a poor nigger, you're a poor nigger, if you a rich nigger, you're a rich nigger, but you never stop being a nigger, and if you get to be educated you just a educated nigger. The inadequateness of given names is only exacerbated by the treatment and outside view of Black people. You can say anything, but your actions ultimately speak for you. You can put the hyphenated title upon Black people and deem them Americans by default, but every Katrina, police justifiable homicide, and blatant racist media distortion, vividly illustrates that a large portion of "mainstream" America plainly views Black people as niggers, whether they say it or not.

The third reason is really just a combination of factors. No group on earth can lay claim to completely unanimous solidarity, but Black for sake of discussion, just happen to be, lets say a little more fractured than most. Given that fact, along with the seeming reality, that decisions essential to Black folk must be reviewed and approved by Whites, a less disturbing term than nigga has yet to come to fruition. When the process of building is undertaken, wise persons assess circumstances and rely on familiarity. Its not hard to envision a involuntary schematic which encompass a fairly recent social position and mind state that dictates that certain types of treatment our no longer tolerable, along side an awareness how you are recognized in your land. Basically speaking, I'm not your nigger anymore under any circumstances, but for most of our peoples (Black Americans) existence we've known ourselves as niggers. You combine the two and you create the term Nigga, which if one really is objective about the situation, could see as the modern replacement for the greeting of "brother" or "sister".

I'm not going to cover the amazing dexterity of the work nigga or the tragic irony of it, but I will look at some the true rational for banning it. First let's look at white people.

Nobody likes being on the losing end of a double standard. The displeasure accrued is only magnified when those receiving unequal treatment are used to occupying a position of power. This is where a major portion of "Black People shouldn't call themselves nigga anymore" argument from Whites stems from. Their logic is for the most part like so: "If you don't want me to say it to you, don't say it to yourselves", which roughly translated equates to "I dare you have the audacity to say you can say (do) something and tell me I can't" . So to avoid all problems why don't you just stop saying the word altogether. A key aspect is not mentioned in that synopsis. Language is power. Part of the word nigger is, alongside reigning in how one views himself, is the declaration that I'm not your nigga, with that your being directed at White people. The word from its inception was no more fair than the laws and social treatment Blacks have be subjugated to in America since we've gotten here. "Niggas" unfairness to Whites is a direct result outrageously cruel degree of slant in society which has historically been unfavorable to Blacks. Given the history of this land and current truisms, just asking for the sole possession of a word instead of lets see, hhhmmm blood?, seems like a more than fair trade off to me. The "You say it so I should be able to argument" is nothing more than the speech of idiots. If anyone truly would step outside of themselves, and look at the worlds present state, or honestly looked at the history of this country beyond the generic civil rights movement and "It was bad then, but things are good now" level of thought. They would never, in good spirit, want to say nigga. Which brings us to the sad truth, a lot White people put there need to rectify a ultimately petty grievance over choosing to respect a fellow Black Person. White America is extremely adept at hopping in to a utopian vacuum when convenient. Sorry to relay this to you but unlike manipulative commercials shown directly after 9/11, everybody in this land isn't American. Comic Patrice O'Neil accurately stated bluntly "It's funny every where I go outside the country I'm American, but when I come home I'm a nigger" Unequal treatment spawns unequal treatment. For the sake of argument when police don't have a open license to kill me or when 50% White people stop locking they car doors when I cross the street, amongst a plethora of other things,(such as a true mutual acknowledgement and treatment as each other as equals)<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> maybe we can open up the negations of sharing "nigga" openly like say "dude"

Now on to the Black people, how fucken stupid can you be? Let it be said there is a great, not good, but great, reasoning for why Black people should never call themselves nigga ever. The default utter disrespect for ancestors and elders, the distorted self imagery of self etc etc which I talked about last year HERE . That being said WHY DO YOU WAIT FOR ACTIONS OF WHITE PEOPLE TO INITIANTE THE DEBATE ABOUT ARGURBLY ONE OF YOUR MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES?? Is almost as if it was like, white people don't like this so lets rectify it now. How long will we be dependent on the White cosign? One of the most sobering aspects of said events is manipulation so blatant that nobody even sees it. The whole Kramer thing would have been a perfect point to launch the "much needed discussion on race" I so often hear about yet never see occur. You know since he typifies the typical American, go and do a whole bunch of racist shit, and them proclaim he isn't racist, while in the process attain sympathy from other non racist people who coincidently blame Black people for there suffering during Katrina. Sounds like a magnificent starting point lol. But no, instead, oxymoronic black leadership started yelling from the mountain top for niggas to stop saying nigga, with out even realizing they where opening up Black people to becoming the scapegoats, once again being seen as the wholesale creator of their problems, while concurrently letting White America off the hook of having a discussion they say they want, but really don't want. The day the Black agenda is not set by non Black people, Black people will be far better off. Those same Black leaders are also just as guilty as masses of White people are for not taking the time to address if they know or at least understand why if they don't, millions of Black people utter nigga every other minute. No wander there is a Civil Rights Generation vs Hip Hop Generation divide. Talking down to a group is no way to spur unity. You wanna impress me Black Leaders, find a way to cops stop killing us and fight hard for real education for your youth not the drivel supplied to indoctrinate us now.

Alight now on to the title on a personal level. Why do I call my self a nigga? I call my self a nigga because that's what the majority of my black friends, family members, associates etc view me as. Being seen as a nigga to them is not an inherent labeling of all things wrong, but an affirmation of being apart a extremely unique race of people who endure an equally unique struggle. Painful as it is to some eyes and ears there is a distinct difference between nigger and nigga which is why you almost never here black people say nigger. There is also a difference between White people saying nigga and Black people saying nigga. While meaning is immediately understood in a way only kinship can immediately decipher when nigga is spoken between black people, when uttered by whites a range of stressful assessments and reminders instantly come to the forefront of the Black conscious. Sadly since the relationship between Whites and Blacks hasn't been and isn't currently anywhere near good terms, the kinship needed for free language is blatant in its absence. I also call my self a nigga, cause I acknowledge within this country for the most part I'm just seen as a nigger. Hiding from facts is a unhealthy endeavor and membership his its detriments along with its privileges. Lastly for the white people who state "Why can other races say nigga and we can't their not black either??!!" Well I can give two answers one the general variety and the other personal. Once again I would implore you to leave your "everything is good now bubble". Shared experience creates understanding, understanding creates comradely, comradely creates loosening of relations. Spanish people know the pain from being seen as a job stealing immigrant, Arabs know the pain from being viewed as terrorist, Blacks know the pain of well just being Black, pain is a incredible unifier, especially when it is seen to be derived from the same source.

Personally I don't subscribe to that last theory. I just go on if you have some African ancestry in your history than I don't mind you calling me nigga, because we are related in some form, plus in your own unique way, you understand my struggle. So I don't mind Puerto Ricans, Venezuelan, Dominicans etc calling me nigga, but I damn sure take offence to Mexicans, Asians and of course White people approaching me in such a manner. Remember this works for me tho, .not all Black People.

Anyway, for those who read down to this point I give to you topical music on the subject lol

I hope it takes an edge off of Americas fucked up race relations for you.

How I See Things......

All things are what they are. How you perceive them solidifies their nature. The concept of perception reigns preeminent in the realm of importance for it constructs belief and controls ones actions. In a coarse linear pattern, perception reins how you think, and intrinsically inhibits thought in the same setting. Most notably, the notion of perception though it infinite set of mannerisms ultimately holds sway over, subjectively speaking, the greatest known commodity: Life. Perception gives license to create life or relinquishes the ability of a person to be conscious of their arrogance as they justifiably destroy it. Examples inhabit every terrain humans reside, or can conceive.

Do you find those who occupy a foreign land as victims of unwanted and unwarranted state aggression? Or do you find those very persons a insidious threats to your way of life who must be destroyed for your sanctity to be preserved.

Are the poor creators of there own squalid plight who should be restrained from allotments dispersed by those perched above them. Or are the poor the remainders of exploitation, deserving of understanding remedies from those able to enact them..

Does an irremovable genetic code guide involuntary actions inherent in a particular race of beings, or does culture concoct and exploit fallacies superimposed among innocent throngs?

There are no correct answers contained in the previous sentences. The rhetorical questions in them however, are emblematic of stern conclusions based upon perception.

Perception is the guardian of thought which sternly grips its child as it leads him in what it deems to be the proper direction. Such a course can lead to the indiscriminate bombing of a genre of humanity, killing hundreds of thousands without the annoying tinge of guilt. It can initiate callous treatment of those on the fringe buttressed by righteous conviction. Perception creates the imagery you view through the scope of action. The most insidious yet ironic things about perception is that it will cause a person to view two separate entities who undertake the same acts woven within the same tapestry of interest, in a completely polar light. One person steals for survival, the other because by their very nature he is a thief, even if the scenario life paints doesn't lend either the opportunity make a legitimate purchase.

Perception is not inherently ghastly in nature. It is a necessary human commodity that is intrinsic to attaining small pieces of happiness in the quest for worldly nirvana. When perception is tainted by manipulation it becomes blight across humanity. I chose the headline "Damien's Perception of Reality" because no matter what events occur within the scope of my knowledge and what actually happened during their episode, I will untimely register them through my perception. In hopes of becoming more fair in judgment of others and honest with self, choosing to view events not by whom was involved, but the scenario and how it presently if not historically crafted the responses of those enveloped in life's vacuum will bring individuals closer to truth. . No being will never be just in all of their assessments, however by being aware of false labels and marginal insights spawned from them, a person is less likely to let perception overwhelm logic and the compassionate facet of humanity within us.

One perception is powerful.

What can or has happened due to the incorporation of millions of like perceptions?

Damn...Even Him....

Alcohol or anger. If you ever want to know how one truly feels about you, any immense dosage of either should be suffice to elicit the most deeply ingrained feeling about any noun you can conjure up from a person. I'm mainly an empirical fact individual, but I hold at least one strong belief. Feelings don't lie.

There is nothing more honest than involuntary inherent response. Upon hearing about Michael Richards aka..the ever eccentric Kramer from the last of the great sitcoms "Seinfeld" racial tirade, I figured he just got heated said a couple things the he felt beneath the surface and, that was that. I was prepared for what I saw, but definitely didn't expect it. As I search the lands of my mental I'm failing to acquire a incident in which such vehemence is displayed in such a visceral manner. Hmm I'm no Tyson hater…but upon reflection the most recent incidence I can conjure would be the press conference before the Lennox Lewis Fight when Mike repeatedly told a member of the media how he would make him his "bitch" by violating one of his orifices.

While admittedly I found the Tyson debacle slightly entertaining, no such value was derived from Richards. The fact he was talking about Black People isn't even the main reason.. Although I'm a avid Carlos Mencia and those of his comedic ilk despiser (I'll address him another day) if done with respect, I can take racial comedy about my own from another race. I've wasted letters typing the word comedy tho, because Richards did not perform material or put on an act, he just revealed his genuine sentiments, in a manor that would make founders at Stone Mountain shed a tear.

Hey….. If you feel a certain way…by all means do what you do. But… the abhorrence starts to formulate when you flat out lie about your beliefs and actions. Its a far to common occurrence for matters of which are deserving of and others not, nearly every one is know to "apologize" in these times. You know… It's best to "get out ahead" of the story. Well this seems to be true in most cases unless you're an infallible President by your own description. Well with much more expediency than Fema delivers bottled water, Richards delivered his apology on the David Letterman show less than a day after his catharsis. Now in to keep my streak of honesty together with you, I'll admit I did not watch said show. I was to engrossed in watching the finial 2 episodes (I had to do it) of this seasons "Wire" amassing a level of hate for Chris and Snoop that impossibly surpassed my unexplainable hatred for Shane on "The Shield". Let me get back to explainable hate tho. While I didn't watch the whole show, I viewed a variety of clips of the interview and read transcriptions of it. Truthfully I could just state that he had the audacity to say he wasn't racist, a statement witch has to be in the running for "Bullshit Utterance of the Year" award, but that would be an injustice. It would be a waste to not mention that he did his best Bruno from "Black n White" impersonation by spewing off such gems of reference as "The Blacks" and "Afro Americans and surreally invoked Hurricane Katrina's racial divide . Smh….This guy is classic.

The saddest thing about this whole Bob Sagetish Geminism gone horribly wrong incident is audience reaction. I'm not talking about the many who honorably got up and left the comedy club where Richards was performing. No…not them,.not even those who can be heard laughing at his tirade or thought his appearance on Letterman was a platform for jokes. Nope the saddest thing about the incident is a non scientific poll, that's

prolly more accurate than not.

Is Richards a racist?

I Don't Recall........

Okay…there are various tactics, philosophies, and ideals involved in parenting. Some are admittedly better than others, but they all share one quality, a vivid everlasting legacy. Why do I conjure up memories that might cause some in your immediate family not to receive Christmas gifts? Well a certain political tactic has recently reverted my mind back to the 80's.

Scenario: Parent or guardian "Didn't I tell you to some random task yesterday??!!!??

Narrator: As the one being asked ponders the question, he understands…that there was a good possibility he was never told to do anything…or his still formulating cognitive system might be failing him and he simply can't remember whether he was or not.

Damien: You didn't tell me to do anything………

(Interrupted by violent response)

Narrator…: A week later we see ourselves at the same Impasse…

Scenario: Parent or guardian: "Didn't I tell you to some random task yesterday??!!!??

Damien: I don't remember.

Narrator :…….(We are interrupted again by more violence)

The necessity of violence to archive the ultimate good can be debated; its historical track record of effectiveness can not, which brings me back to our current era. Violence taught me that "I don't know" "I don't recall" and "I can't remember" are all unacceptable responses. Sans scenarios involving, 256 pound line backers, out of control SUV's or gallons of Grey Goose, 99% of the time when somebody states "I don't recall" they are bs'n you. Even worse they are acting in a way which manipulates while also insulting your intelligence. Numerous persons of all hues and orientations are known to elicit this practice when deemed necessary, but in the interest of being honest in divulging where the impetus of this writing, I must administer credit where it is due. Let's again give a rousing applause to the evil yet frighteningly effective Republicans.

Just as I had begun to make livable peace with some of Dr. Condoleezza Rice's proclivities, you know telling the 9/11 commission they that PDB memo titled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside US" she looked over in August of 2001 seemed to be nothing more than an "Historical Document" and was nothing to get all bent out of shape about, or fucking (excuse the language getting kinda angry when I think about this) ahem.. fucking buying shoes and playing Tennis, while depending on which window she coulda chose to peer through, one of her countries major cites was being decimated, Americans where suffering…or…her people?? were literally dying from neglect. Yes I thought I had made peace with the evil genius. I figured that when my homie Kevin and I started this little side hustle T- Shirt business and my vision of a oversized T with Ms. Rice's picture and name emblazoned on the front and in bold lettering "White House Nigga" (you steal my idea I break your arm) lacing the back, I could express my anger while concurrently releasing it from my being and making a latent profit off of misery like any good American would do. Well all chances of me semi suppressing my justified hate vanished when questioned about a assertion of a meeting between her and former CIA director George Tenet in a recently released Bob Woodward "State of Denial" book, where Tenet allegedly warned her of an impending al Qaida attack, she reverted to stating she didn't recall such a meeting. Now Rice is a certified genius who at that time held the post of National Security Advisor, a position that one would rightly surmise a good memory would become a welcome if not necessary asset. Given the surrounding elements I could come to no other conclusion that she was lying, for if she wasn't, why not just say "I was never told such a thing at that time". Well the said reason her and others like soon to be former house speaker Dennis Hastert, who didn't recall being told about a certain pedophile under his watch over a year ago, posses an incessant inability to recall events others deem important epochs in their time.

Unlike the child who states that his parent is wrong and by default is conducting an investigation under the premise of a lie, to preserve his/her honesty in the face of a potential bludgeoning, politicians "can't remember" in a tacit effective ploy to deceive and lie without out right lying. It's too potentially dangerous to flat out deny an action or event, because your lie can be exposed, but if you contract what Sean Carter once coined as "convenient amnesia" you follow a tactic that the court plea of "no contest" will forever envy, the onus is on the populace to decide. Given semantics tends to distract yet utterly confuse the average person like a cat fiddling with string, claiming lapse in memory is a grand path to follow while treading the murky swamps trying to maintain political credibility. Just don't try to use this ploy with ya parents if they don't believe in the "time out" corner.

Feeling Good Feeling Great

Happy…. Yes that is the feeling seems to be engrossing my being. Somehow it seems it shouldn't be this way. The temperature is dropping…and I hold a notorious hate for cold falls and impeding winters… The Steelers are 2-5, I miss my family, none more so than my sister…and her children. yet I know that even getting up out of here for "Thanksgiving" would be a coup upon its self.. And as of 10:41 am I still haven't received my Michigan absentee ballot, which Is causing enough underlying seething anger in me to punch a hole thru anyone who pushes the wrong button…or have a stroke…you know which ever comes first…

But…I'm smiling tho…I guess…as a expression of understanding and appreciation. I've really come to realize. that for as hard as I've always been on my self, there is a undefined amount of time left in my existence to accomplish great things. A friend recently asked me what I thought about perception…and while in the midst of conjuring up a reply I put my life in perspective, exiting such thoughts retaining some harsh truths, and potential great realities. Regardless of what great qualities others may think accurately or not, I possess, no matter what I personally know what my defined strengths are., I know that trepidation towards success, a recurring apathetic nature, and stubborn rigidity, our traits that have personally savagely plagued me. We. all have flaws, and (insert your higher power) knows I have more. I have come to a point now that I not only acknowledge them…but truly actively fight them. I recently had a very…very…sobering thought. "I've wasted the last 10 years of my life." Now….inherently that's a extremely false statement, I've accomplished. .alot….especially personally, and have amassed many great experiences. and truly priceless friends…… But I have wasted….my life….. Life is tme..and Time is life……what have I accomplished with it? What endeavors occupied the slot of successes that never were? The answers to such queries arouse great anger, but also understanding that creates the foundation of hope.

I'm one who hates to focuses on him self so I'm gonna cut this short… Real talk….(funny what disclaimers say lol) I know to many talented people with immaculate ideas not to take part in them. I owe myself and the many others who have helped cultivate the qualities about me that you admire to get to stop b.s'n and start grinding… Since I know these things…I guess the reason. I'm happy is due. to the excitement only potential can create.

Yeah sounds about right lol

Know Your......

In a world constructed upon a base of exploitation, one would be wise to expect that anniversaries, no matter how much their sacredness is championed, are consistently subjects to insidious manipulation. The synthesis of media and government during the quinquennial (never heard of that word before?, neither did I before few weeks past) remembrance of the September 11th attacks spawned enough self justification to cause the even the most ardent of news watchers to avoid all manifestations created to usurp the senses and influence opinion. Omnipresent forces by default are impossible to ignore, so no matter how resistant segments of the populous where to specials, news, movies, and fictional documentaries, succinctly carved themes where still ultimately embedded within the minds of millions.

One of the most often repeated notions was "Protecting The Homeland". "I will", "We Must" "They Are" and "They Can't" where frequently espoused prefix's, alluding to the importance of protecting where U.S citizens reside vigorously. Bearing witness to such talk can do nothing but arise cynical irony in some who believe those same orators care nothing for the homeland or at best vast swaths of it.

The homeland was well under attack before 9/11 and continues to be besieged by intensifying ills at blitzkrieg like rates. We are expected to understand we must fight "them" over "there" to maintain our tranquil civilized life. A consistent plethora of imagery is strewn throughout our path to define who "they" are and why such a people are deserving of virulent condemnation, and how there culture itself is affront to "our" being.

"Islamic Radicals" are not "Them", or "They" and don't reside "There"

The Author apologies for wrongly including himself in the term "Our".

Questions:

Is the homeland safe when one out of every four of it's citizens lives in poverty?

Is the homeland safe when 1 out of 10 people can not attain employment?

If a number equaling 25% of its entire voting population permanently had its voting rights relinquished, would the home land be safe?

Is the home land safe when 13% of it's citizens in arguably it's most integral decade of life (20's) are restrained to prison facilities?

Would the future of the homeland be in Jeopardy if……….

The l1th largest city within its polity had an high school graduation rate barley over 20% while many more immense systems charged with educating the young barley can get 50% to reach attainment of a diploma.

More of the populace was incarcerated, than being educated through facilities of higher learning.

Those sworn to protect you, have the right to murder you and those cherish with immunity buttressed by society's manipulated will.

Does this sound like an idyllic homeland that must be protected by foreign incursion to you?

Is this your America?

Oh the joys of insulation and disdain

Over the course of the last 3 years with frantic urgency the United States has spent 318 billon dollars on the Iraq War…. Some statements are best left to be described by others so Salem news:

The breakdown is based on a total cost of $318.5 billion. That is $2,844 for every American household or $1,075 for every American. The money (already spent or allocated) is being spent at a rate $10 million per hour and $244 million per day.

$10 Million dollars per hour……….

What is the relevancy War Spending to the Homeland?

Given the infusion of the Iraq War within the 9/11 construct the enormity of funding placed as cost of endeavor is in essence protection money. Indeed many Americans would concur there is no price to great to insure their safety. But what if your relative safety had already vanished? What if the threat of your supposed placid existence, shown to be artificial, yet the vast amount of funds allotted to protect you where still being allocated to bestow "freedom" upon others? Would such actions be permissible when the domestic masses are asphyxiated by societal ills?

The queries posed are not hypothetical, yet the minds of those whom convert questions to reality mythical in honesty.

Insulation and Disdain

Given the Self Image we hold of ourselves, no matter how blunt the dictations and actions we undertake are, we fail to see ourselves as a warlike people. Beings of a belligerent society by their very nature, diminish the value of life, and practice insipid external actions upon its very own also, Hence "The War on Drugs" and "The War on Crime" amongst other conflicts. With any war there must be a "enemy", for at least superficially we believe the wanton destruction of humanity is a ghastly action to perform. When concocting the biography of said enemy, the most egregious of connotations are ascribed to his nature as to maximize the utility allotted to destroy him and while concurrently diminishes the inherit sympathy and compassion we believe by default resides in our beings. One of the tragic circumstance (or positive benefit to others) of formulating an enemy's standing is those whom share similarities of a physical or ideological nature, tend to get confused, intertwined with or out rightly perceived as the adversary. The consequence of such logical progressions is the wholesale punishment of innocents.

When defined evil cannot be deciphered from good, innocents are routinely condemned for conviction. Far from obvious to the oblivious, such residual action is routine in our land. While we are beaten over the head with pertinent duties derived from the social contract, the primary responsibly of protection, from domestic scourges no less is abandoned. The daily life threatening maladies alluded to previously in the fields of education, suffrage, employment, incarceration ,and state sanctioned murder are ignored at best or in a far to often saddening circumstance, justified. "The enemy gets what it deserves". "The enemy caused the plight it now resides in." The vacuum of thought is indeed airtight, suffocating the human life trapped within its confines.

The declared war against particular elements in our society has helped maintain and exacerbate disdain, and a utter lack of empathy towards certain "segments" of the United States. Actions surmise that there is no longer collateral damage, for collateral damage and the enemy are one in the same. If such a view is baseless, why wouldn't we as Americans try to solve these problems before creating other risks fiscal and life threatening abroad? Would you allot more to incarcerate or educate your children? There not your children you say, while thinking they are the enemy, so let the enemies schools be infested with vermin, but maintain a dearth of books and technology. Let the soldiers who fight your enemy bludgeon and slay the enemy at his whim, for the enemy by his very nature is deserving of such treatment.

The Questioned was asked…..and still is awaiting a answer.

Is this your America .

It's the authors.

One who perceives the War on Us to be far more Dire than A War on Terror, well at least as it pertains to us….not the enemy.

Lives Deemed Devoid of Value …. Part I

There often has remained a contention among the masses that history repeats its self. Some would find that premise not wholly accurate, as perfect facsimiles are often hard to discover. For certain segments of society a malaise of Detached Déjà vu would be presented for a suitable mantra, as they assess with varying ranges of emotion, the current horrific tragedy encompassing Lebanon and Israel.

The different pieces of the faint negative familiarity puzzle have been arising in recent times for some. Those who where to young to grasp (yet alive enough to feel) the destruction incurred during the destitute Reagan presidency are haphazardly beholden to a Bush executive that the most impartial of presidential historians would deem the worst in American history. Many who only know of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution via textbook literature and Vietnam thru 80s cinema and the History channel, have traversed through the sham dialogue of Weapons of Mass Destruction the subsequent relinquishment of Colin Powells honor and credibility before the U.N and bear witness to a war in Iraq, that arises demons of U.S military action, as a country weve long tried to silence since the Vietnam era.

Now the aforementioned sector of persons alluded to earlier, who faintly heard about wars seemingly instigated by one of many zealous Arab nations against a pious Israel with only the leader of the free world, the United States standing by her side, have a fluid memory of their own.

The many who absorbed media dissemination of terrorist consistently attacking the Jewish homeland, then turned to study the realism of accurate history and proclaimed Israel was out of fucken control!!!, those individuals for the past two weeks are enduring a piece of living history which saddens there conscious embarrasses them as an Americans and causes them to surmiseIsrael is fucken crazy!!

Extreme prejudicial ignorance, ill informed passionate defenses, and fervent warmongering are the present symptoms being displayed amongst us, via inoculations administered by media and baleful politicos. The highly subjective objective media littered with its highly biased and well compensated pundits during the inception of this new perilous conflict, inundated gazing eyes and attentive ears with premonitions certain that WWIII was/is upon us.

In a surreal like manner it seemed that the mass media was happy to have an engrossing summer time story line, while neo conservatives where joyous at the coming of impeding devastation, for blood letting creates fertile ground democratic nation building. Those held captive by conscious and imagery come to know the fierce extents of their sadness, helplessness, and anger during these times. Inherent human compassion, if not yet whittled away by the mechanisms of man, bears us a default instinct which we should be ever grateful to have, even if it devastates us when we next expediently deduce our immediate singular power concluding with unacceptable findings.

The many manifestations of anger spawn from even more numerous differing elements. Deception, Callousness and the difficulty of trying to decipher whether ones intelligence has been insulted or if he/she is just in the presence of utter stupidity, almost assuredly will cause fury in the good hearted. The convoluted schematics that have been utilized to justify Israels recent atrocities dont deserve to be adjacent with the term logic.

Israel is defending its self.

Rational and cold as it me be, the nuance of worldly militarys, whether their members volunteered are where forced to conscribe, insures certain risks that ensure their pawn like status, and eases the pain brought upon by the maladies they endure. Given the well known hazards of military service, the world lest not Israel should not have been surprised when 2 of its soldiers where recently kidnapped by Hezbollah forces. The commandeering of personal and arrest and detention ( a eloquent phrase sometimes used to define kidnapping by legitimate states) of opposing forces has been along occurring practice along the Israeli Lebanon border, mostly done for intelligence or bargaining power hopefully utilized to free other captives. Nowhere in recent recollection has the kidnapping of individuals, let alone soldiers that states generally find disposable set off such catastrophic events events.

During the trying Iran Hostage Crisis in which 66 diplomats and civilians where held captive, the United States did not see fit to level the whole of Iran with superior military might. When 103 Israelis where held captive within the boundaries of Uganda, by Palestinians, the heads of Israel during such time did not deem it necessary to reign the hell of war upon Ugandan citizens, instead they strategically struck and garnered the freedom of those wrongfully held. We often hear talk of states acting as rational a actor, which causes some to infer that there nothing but individual actors on worldly stage, and reassess the micro macro perspective. Israel in its current state, is acting like the materialistic nihilistic individual who repeatedly stabs the soul who stepped upon his Jordans.

Even more analogous would be the surmising that Israel is acting in the manner of domestically demonized street hoodlums who when one of its soldiers is kidnapped or killed, bends a corner and lets loose round upon round of sporadic gunfire in a residential neighborhood directed at they mamas house cuz thats where they all stay at!!!

Americans who hold that Israel is defending her self have attached themselves to the convenient mislead empathic premise of We would do the same thing if Cuba was shooting missiles at us. Knowing Americas sordid track record of foreign relations, one could find truth in such a assertion even if it is devoid of respect for humanity or justice.

The murdering of innocents in any fashion incurred by the following of whatever rational is inherently wrong (The ideologies of there are no innocent in the realm of political action given the state is, another representation of the citizenry, is recognized if not wholly agreed with) so the condoning of rockets being shot into civilian territories deservers nothing but condemnation. When the majority read the last sentence there mind automatically will equate it to Hezbollah, which on a level is true. What they wont do, is find it capable with out inner strife, to at the outset attribute those actions to Israel if at all.

Hezbollah, without discounting the egregiousness of its actions, did not begin to rain missiles upon northern Israel until, it along with vast swaths of Lebanon was besieged by the IDF vastly more devastating weaponry. For those who deduce such logic as childish He/She started it banter, please recognize that is the exact moral platform Israel is speaking from, just from a far less credible angle.

Israels wickedness of action is shown through it loose justifications and half hearted precautions. Stating that Hezbollah is embedded within the general populace, is a sham of a excuse or rationalization that presupposes and even plans for the killing of civilians. The dropping of leaflets from the sky, warning individuals to leave yet another travesty masquerading as good will.

If you can, imagine being told to completely uproot your life, and all it encompasses, family friends, employment, consciously leaving behind all or your worldly possessions, not know when you will be able to return to them, as your mind tells you odds are good there might not being anything remaining for you to return to. Imagine not having the funding to embark on such a solemn journey, leaving your fate to Israeli generals and American crafted instruments of death. Envision being monetarily sufficient enough to sojourn northward away from the focus of main hostilities.hoping that your not the unlucky vehicle that appears as a dot upon the radar while bombs are about to be dropped on the strategic bridge you are crossing.

One has to ask, how any statement of compassion for civilians could be feigned when even when modern day Samaritans of various International Organizations (Red Cross, U.N) are not insulated from defensive state wrath. The cuddly phase of Disproportionate Response is completely devoid of the conveyance necessary to state unjust murder of far too many.

Peace
